Zombie games are a dime a dozen. You’ve got your franchises like Resident Evil and Dead Rising, your indies like Project Zomboid and 7 Days to Die, and your additions to completely different games like Undead Nightmare and the Zombies mode in Call of Duty. Even when a game isn’t focused on zombies, they often pop up as enemies. While they all have different takes on surviving the zombie apocalypse, one of the best, in my opinion, is a game called State of Decay 2.
Developed by Undead Labs and published by Microsoft Games Studios, State of Decay 2 puts players in the shoes of survivors trying to build a community and survive in the hostile, post apocalyptic world.
